In mid-2022, I had the opportunity to work as an art director on La Invitación, a project by Kenya Oz. As the art director, my responsibilities included creating style frames, color scripts, and color palettes, as well as editing guides and directing and supervising the background team.
The inspiration behind my creative concept was drawn from iconic anime series of the 90s, including Sailor Moon, Digimon, Dragon Ball, and Akira. These beloved shows served as a muse for the development of my design, particularly in the areas of color palettes, shape design, and color transitions. By leveraging the nostalgia and cultural significance of these anime classics, I was able to infuse my work with a touch of timeless appeal that is sure to captivate and resonate with audiences.

COLOR SCRIPT
This project showcases a unique and emotionally-charged color palette, inspired by the complex experience of a love breakup. Drawing from three key emotional touch points: Remembrance, nostalgia, and oblivion. I assigned each of these feelings a specific color to be represented throughout the music video. This thoughtful and deliberate approach ensures that each moment of the video is imbued with a rich and evocative palette, which serves to deepen the viewer's connection to the piece.
To further support the concept, I also incorporated a 90's anime look, which imbues the video with a sense of nostalgia and longing. This stylistic choice was carefully considered to ensure that the visuals perfectly complement the emotions conveyed in the music.
BACKGROUNDS
Once the color was approved I gave clean an art guide and we started to apply color to the sketches we already had. After finishing the backgrounds stage, I kept an eye on clean's work and coordinated with the composition director for the treatment he had planned.
